Well said Mitch. There have been two VERY shocking things that have occurred in these two debates. The first is the "spread the wealth around" issue - which people are actually talking about. AND Obama's answer to the question about whether Health Care is a right, a privilege, or a responsibility. Obama said it was a "right." Do you all realize what a MASSIVE shift that would be in our government. If health care is a right, then the government must provide it to everyone. If you don't have it, then the government must pay for it - i.e. guarantee your right to it. This single comment demonstrates unequivocally Sen. Obama's political philosophy. He is a socialist. I am not being dramatic or alarmist. This is one of the foundational philosophies of socialism. The government must provide for your health and welfare (which of course our constitution refers to also - but NO ONE other than the few socialists candidates have espoused such a radical idea). This is a seductively simple idea to just say it off the cuff, the way Senator Obama did. The sheep who were watching the debate did not even understand the HUGE leap in philosophy this simple little idea represents. The media didn't even blink. I bet most people have idea that he said it and no idea that it matters what his answer was. Donald H.
