I can't speak for Honda automobiles, but I own an old Goldwing motorcycle. Honda recommends silicate free antifreeze for it because the silicates in conventional antifreeze wear out the seal. Dex Cool is silicate free. Zerex G-05 is LOW silicate, but not silicate free. That would be my guess as to why it is not approved. Best bet= stick with Honda coolant, even if it is a bit more expensive.
