When I started college that was the situation taking the commuter rail into
Boston from Fitchburg. Go stand out behind the Salvation Army store...
Now they've built a nice station with a big parking structure, ridership is up
something like 10,000%...

Pretty
close, but worse. It is an "unmanned" station. There is a building,
about 90 years old that is locked up...so you just wait along the
tracks...out in the elements. There is no platform, so your picture is
pretty accurate as far as that goes.
