Remember as George Carlin said (I think it was Carlin anyway) "Think how stupid
the average American is, then remember half the people are dumber than that!"
I think your average hipster has no idea that Scion is owned by Toyota and
Acura is owned by Honda and Saturn is owned by GM.
I suspect loads of the hipsters buying the TC would never buy a Camry.

You really think the name, and not the vehicle, is what made the
difference? The "box on wheels" thing would not have done well if it
had a Toyota badge?
