Is your wife a doctor, nurse or EMT? In most cases the "need" is a "want" and if the roads are that bad she should be home rather than tying up the roads.
I live in New England and for the last 5 years I've driven NOTHING but Mercedes diesels, first my 240D, then the 190D, and now my 240D again. I've NEVER had any real issues except when I wasn't running real snow tires. That includes last December when at one point I was climbing a hill slowly in my 190D thinking "thank God I got my snowtires this week" and looked over to see a Toyota pickup crabbing up the hill sideways will all 4 tires spinning. Finally the car in front of me slid off the road, I opened the taps and easily pulled away from the Toyota and all the other 4wds with their crappy "all season" offroad tires. It really is more about tires in snow than 4wd. -Curt Date: Tue, 9 Dec 2008 08:51:37 -0600 From: "Tom Hargrave" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [MBZ] Cerberus wants money back To: "'Mercedes Discussion List'" <mercedes@okiebenz.com> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="windows-1250" Wife has a 4WD Grand Cherokee in Wisconsin and she needs the capability for the winters.
