First, lubricate the antenna with some silicone spray lub -- if it's gotten dry and dirty, the telescoping sections can drag to the point the motor shuts off too soon.

Otherwise, it's time for a new mast most likely.

At least everything that is breaking on the car is minor.

In fact, another minor breakage on the way: the little thermometer gauge on
the dash has black slowly encroaching on the display.
