If I have a part number, will the EPC tell me what US models (with year) that
the part goes into? If so, how do you do that?

I've been able to use the 'part search without vehicle data' to take a part
number and then find the engine number (if an engine part), the trans number
(if a trans part) and the chassis number (six digit, if not an engine part or a
trans part). That's better than nothing as I can then go here:
http://www.egermanparts.com/mercedes-chassis_90-92.html and figure out the
model designation and year, BUT I want to eliminate having to go to that chart
if the EPC will tell me that info.

And, when looking up a non-engine, non-trans part number, it does give the
model designation of the chassis the part belongs to, but not the year, so I
still have to go to the chart.

Can anyone help me out here?

THANKS!

Chris
