Found nearly 800 inline fuel filters. Paper filter material. Little brass
inserts in the inlet and outlet tubes. They are made in china, have a Mercedes
part number on the cases, but have an audi logo on the filters. Bizarre. More
bizarre: the EPC lists OM615, OM616, OM601, OM602 and OM603 as applications for
this filter, but not OM617. I'm not sure why... can't see why it would not work
on an OM607...maybe the ones with the 90 degree elbow is specified for the
OM617...?
Anyway, I have them on ebay for $5.00 for a box of 5, plus $5.00 s&h. Buy a
couple boxes to make the shipping worthwhile ($1 added to S&H for each
additional box) and be set forever.
