That explains the mystery, when would this have taken place? When I worked on the bridge in '96 I can tell you that I saw many a truck that DIDN'T have a turning drum when empty. I suspect that concrete trucks don't get replaced all that quickly, especially as you go north since they can't be run after about November until maybe April...

I'm told that when Cummings introduced the "World Engine" (All Electronic) that Osgosh demanded an ancillary warranty to protect them from the cost of a full mixer the couldn't dump it's load. Not a huge deal, most smart mixer companies have the ability to have a second truck pull up next to a distressed truck, use quick connects to supply hydraulics to the disabled truck.
