Trunk trim came off easy today. There is a nut (8mm) that has to be taken
off of the end of each trim piece (near the corners). Next, in order to get
the short piece of chrome that covers the lock area off, take off the latch
plate inside the trunk (3 phillips head screws). Then remove the lock
assembly by removing the two nuts (8mm) now accessible through the latch
opening. Once this is done, the chrome plate will come off by removing from
the outside. You can remove the lock assembly from the linkage if you wish,
but it is not necessary for removal of the trim.

Now with the short chrome piece off and the nuts removed on the corners, the
rest of the trim pops out of the clips, similar to that on the rest of the
side trim. There should be 4 clips on each piece.

Please figure this out. I have been scratching my head for a while
about just this item. The trunk trim does not look like it wants to
come off simply. Need to de-trim Gump for her painting.
