yeah, i've noticed this too with some cameras. i've just started importing them into iphoto and deleting the ones i don't want there.
alternatively, you can just start using a card reader as well. you can get those now for a a buck or two on ebay delivered and the card reader and card just becomes a drive. it's not an answer to your issue, but just how i've dealt with this issue myself On Mon, Nov 30, 2009 at 3:17 PM, Kaleb C.
