You can order the leather upholstery bits from one of the dueling new parts suppliers, and I am sure that a representative of the government can find your mailbox.

Are the tex-mex seat covers as good as the original leather? I see
them mentioned pretty often but don't know to what they refer? Vinyl?
I soon have to replace mine in our 300SD. I think I'll just order
leather and make them. But have been curious about the others. Thanks
for the info. Christy

I think most mercedes that are not "S" class have MB-Tex not leather.
It is a heavy duty vinyl with an embossed "grain" to look like leather
and perforated for breathability. Many people think it is actually
leather.

It lasts nearly forever in normal use.

I really think what we have is leather. It is coming apart and tends to curl and split on the leather grain. I'd like to see some benz-mex but we live in the wilds of Wyoming so getting to a dealer requires a 5 or 6 hundred mile trek. I really appreciate all the opinions and information. As always, you all help with the questions I ask and make the decision of what to do an easier task. Christy
