I read about Sonax wheel cleaner in the latest 'Star' magazine, so I
decided to give it a try.

I tried to find just a bottle of the cleaner locally, then on the
internet, but finally decided to get a 'kit' with several other Sonax
products, seemed a better value once shipping was calculated:

Result: It does seem to work much much better than just soap/water, but
I had to use a tooth brush to get all the brake dust out of the fifteen
holes on the rims of my '87 wagon. On some parts of the rim, it did
clean really well with just one cycle of wet wheel / spray on cleaner /
rinse off wheel. Note that I started with REALLY crusty rims, which
probably haven't been washed in a couple months. I'll wait a few weeks
and try again to see if it works better when used in a more routine
manner.

Very respectfully,
