Actually in my area BYOB restaurants are becoming more common. I think the cities and towns have become more nazi about giving liquor licenses.

If you bring in your own bottle of wine and ask to be served it, you will probably get a laugh, a stare of incomprehension, a polite escort to the door, or all three.
