The idler arm kit will take care of the floppy steering so long as
nothing else is bad.
However, loose steering parts tend to batter the damper to death, so
plan on a new one soon. Not expensive and very definitely worth the
few bucks for the quiet. If you take it loose, you will likely find
a "dead" spot in the resistance to movement at the center point of
the steering.
Check again after you replace the bushings to see if anything is
still loose.
