I got my first selectric at a public sale in Ontario (the annual junk
elimination by the Ministry of Forests) for $5. Needed repair, but
it was simple. Cat knocked a screwdriver into it and it's now out of
synch, otherwise good condition.
My second one, the one currently set up and working, I got at a flea
market for $20 about ten years ago.
