You might debate it all day long but that will not really help you much. If you are concerned, then you need to test it again and make sure that you do not have a leak problem and that the starter is turning it fast enough.

We are debating whether a loose fitting on the compression tester OR a weak starter motor on the tested car could influence the gauge readings significantly in a lower direction.
