I'm looking for insights from someone who has dissected a 126 heater system.
The floor heat doors on my 1982 300SD move freely as if there were no
linkages and they "blow shut" whenever the blower is on. The associated
vacuum motor works fine but the internal linkages that control these doors
appear to be broken or missing. All this is down inside the heater case
under the dash so it ain't easy to see what's going on.

My request is for anyone who has dissembled on rod these to describe the
mechanism that's supposed to connect the vacuum pod to the floor vent doors.
This is not a problem in the hot weather but some floor heat would be nice
in the winter. Thanks for any insights.
