I was just thinking about replacing the line on mine. My local
snowmobile/dirtbike/motorcycle etc shop has 2 grades of 1/4" and/or 5/16" fuel
line, one is clear, the other is blue. The blue is much tougher stuff, it
resists collapse better and doesn't harden as bad when subjected to sunlight or
high temps. I figured I'd use that.

Be careful you don't use a plastic tube so flimsy/weak that it'll collapse
under suction while you're evacuating oil.  If you don't let air, oil, etc.
into your container/receiver and the sucker/vac cleaner keeps running,
you'll likely collapse the receiver and have a really black oil mess.  A
clear plastic tube with some fabric imbedded in the walls to give 'em some
stiffness works very well for me.
