At least with a Benz you have a fighting chance of doing some of the work yourself and saving a few bucks. Can an amateur even buy a shop manual for a Rolls? Are there discount aftermarket parts suppliers? I know of one wrecking yard for them here in Oregon---called "Crewe Cutters"---so in theory you could get some parts used, if you were going to, for instance, try to run a tired $10,000 Silver Shadow as a daily driver.
