Max I remember from our 64 bus the clock was rectangular. Here is a link to see what it looks like. May even still be available.

Thanks for your insight. I'm also drawn to older styles, like the old VW VDO gauges. I wish they'd had a clock on the dash - I would really like to
make a desk clock with the style of a VDO VW gauge from the sixties.

Although I'm tempted to seek out an original mechanical watch of some
notoriety, family and job and Mercedes are taking up most of my time, and I'd like to get back into some wood work or maybe even learn to work metal
(welding).
