My BILs are lawyers and handle some private adoptions sometimes, the
kind that the parties wish to keep low-key. They have said these seem
to work out quite well as everyone is sorta with the program. But I
guess too there is a lot of scamming out there, Wish you the best with
your quest.

Thanks. Actually, the adoption fell through. The birthmother was deceiving
everyone involved about the who the real father was. It's a long drawn out
story. The short version is the Birthmother lied about very important things,
and it all crashed down once the baby was born. Of course, we were out in
Washington for the birth and the whole process cost us about $10,000. Not
good. So, now kid. But, we are still trying to adopt. Maybe now that we have
a muscle car, it will work out! :)
