Down by the shifter you mean? Almost as much hassle as removing the kick panel or dash cluster... -Curt Date: Sun, 6 Mar 2011 16:47:34 -0600 From: "Luther's Benz"<benz-n-h...@gulseth.net> To: "Mercedes Discussion List"<mercedes@okiebenz.com> Subject: Re: [MBZ] New Stereo for Red Message-ID:<4d740f15.271d640a.7b8d.6...@mx.google.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 If you remove the console pannel to access the fader switch, there are 4 connectors there, one for each speaker. Tap in there for clean access to your speakers without going into the dash. The new Kenwood (originally purchased for my now deceased '85 190D) has CD, USB and aux input. I sprang for the wiring kit so installation was super easy. I wired in only the rear outputs leaving myself the easy option of running independent wires to the front speakers and removing the fader from the installation. I left the fader in for now as I was too lazy to pull the driver's kick panel to run that wire, well mostly its too rainy for me to be working with the door open... Anyway more driving fun to come! -Curt _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com For new and used parts go to www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
