You're not using coolant, or turning it black with soot, are you?

You might want to pull the injectors and have them tested.
Or, with the engine idling as smooth as you can get it, put on some gloves, pick up a couple of wrenches, and loosen the injector lines at the injectors one at a time. If one injector has less effect on the way the engine runs when you disable it, that's your prime suspect.

Also, the smoke is slightly bluish-white and is only excessive upon cold 
startup and disappears after 5-10 min. warmup.  No oil consumption to speak of 
between oil changes (3K mi.) and no coolant consumption.
Is there a specific procedure regarding adjusting the injection pump?  If so, 
who can provide?
