Ever ask? I complained one time at my local Autozone that they only ever had one case of the 5w40 and were frequently sold out. The counter drone shrugged so I wrote a nasty-gram on the Autozone website. The regional guy called me (!) and I explained how I couldn't figure if they were usually sold out of the stuff why they didn't stock more. Well since then they seem to almost always have some. I usually buy 6 or more quarts at a time though so I have it on hand.
Our local Car Quest will get it if I ask.
