On option is to just sell the 420 with new top of the line tires on it and dump the crappy 16" tires on craigslist for $25 each or something. Then maybe pick up a set of 14" or 15" W201/124 rims and put pure snow tires on them for the 320.

Another option is to sell the 420 with the 320's wheels as you mentioned earlier. Are the 420 wheels in comparable condition to the Snookmobile?
That was a very clean car the last time I saw pics of it.

Seems like Curt has a set of 14" 1984 190d rims. Just make sure they'll clear the brakes on your car.
