Rotella T is found on sheet 228.3, along with Mobil Delvac 1300 Super (but no Mobil 1 products). Perhaps other oils on that sheet would also be suitable for older diesel and gasoline engines?
Really makes me wonder if using Mobil 1 in our older diesels is a good idea these days, given that the oil design specifications have changed to keep pace with current regulatory/technical changes to modern engines. I'll see what the lab results show, perhaps next change in my cars I'll try a conventional oil like the Delvac or Rotella T and compare results.
