Only if you didn't actually READ the press release. They're not ending 
production they're SELLING production. Lenovo did an admirable job when they 
took over from IBM, no reason why HP should be different.
Their workstations are substantially better than any other PC maker, especially 
right now, the Z400 and Z800 that we spec are actually better than their Mac 
counterparts.

So, acquiring an HP PC and expecting any sort of after sales support seems
a bit optimistic. Similar to buying an Oldsmobile or Pontiac or anything
French.
