No biggie, just make sure the trips in the SD count, meaning no shorty runs
like you'll be doing with the 240D or if you do some short runs make sure
theres a good long run to get everything warmed up and burn the condensation
out of the engine. Keep the fuel tank topped off and maybe give it a shot of
water remover every other month or something. Might have to change the oil a
little more often but as Marshall says you won't know without analysis...
Also nothing says you HAVE to take the 240D, you could take the SD a couple
times a week if you wanted...

Well, OK Don and Curt agree - beat the AKP-Wagen into the ground and
keep the SD for Saturday errands, Sunday drives and road trips. No
sense getting a gasser to beat on when I can beat on a 240D...I like the
car, even though it's a heap - part of the charm, PLUS I use it as a
learning tool. Not being to mechanically inclined, I do things to it I
would not attempt on the SD or TD - like my upcoming valve adjustment.
Looking forward to it.
So I guess letting the SD sit during the week won't hurt it too much
if it is driven on the weekend?

Theres one for sale by my parent's. Looks good from the road, but they want $3k
for it which I think is probably a bit high.
Dad says if they'd take $1500 he'd go for it. I'm tempted to go offer $1500
and see if they'll bite, its been out there for a month now...
