A wonderful place to live and raise a family - but that part is behind us now. Great medical resources (always important to seasoned citizens) and lots to do. I put Port Arthur Tx in the same High heat bracket as SC and Baton Rouge. Bloomington Il was the worst place I ever lived and I could not wait to get away from there. If I ever move again it will likely be farther into the Blue Ridge mountains - either in Western Va, W.VA, NC or Tenn - maybe Ky. Our family is here around Chester so we need to be able to see the kids and G'kids once in a while. Good luck on your next location - I hope it will be all you want it to be.
