The first year I had Hammie the glowplugs went out. It took 2 days for Rusty to 
get me new ones. Temps averaged in the 30s that whole time. To get him started 
in the morning I'd run the blockheater for an hour and then drag him to the top 
of the hill in our apartment complex and roll down. If that didn't work we'd do 
it again. At work I just left him running.
  The day the glowplugs arrived it was 5F... I changed the 3 it took to get him 
going again and had my Indy change the last one.
