My S210 e320 is rather nice, but no diesel.
Generally 25-28mpg.

Up around 30 for a long cruise at 55-60mph, but 27-28 is the best I can hope for at 70mph. First car I've had that I couldn't beat the original EPA highway in normal driving.

I agree with Mitch. An E320 4matic might be a compromise that works. Even though I dislike gassers, I can live with an E320.

IF MomBUSA was not run by ijit marketing drones jockeying for "position" we could get the Diesel wagons in AWD (and other things) that are available in the RTW.

Even though the E320 has COP ignition and probably more computer power than an Apollo moon mission, most things are familiar, and with the internet and this list, I was able to diagnose and repair everything that was wrong with the dead one I bought. Seized air pump, MAS, and the whatever they call the throttle block with a bunch of wires with selfdestructing wire insulation thanks to the euro-greenie weenies.
