That is either a filter or separator. I don't think Racor built a
filter/separator as a single unit. Does it have a drain on the
bottom? If not, you can put one there on a T. You'd want the fuel
to go in on the bottom and out on the top. (opposite how
oldsmobubble did it) so that any water remains behind in the
filter/separator.
It should be plumbed in after the transfer pump, before the "main"
filter. IF it is a filter, and not just a separator, then you will
only need to change the main filter every 5 years or so.
