Since my tach & AC stopped working all together and the replacement overload
protection relay (5-pin) I purchased doesn't fit the original 4-pin female
receptacle, I had contacted a fellow at the M-B Classic Center (CA) and he's
trying to figure out how to be able to at least test the replacement overload
protection relay. So I'm driving w/o a tach & AC and waiting, but at least
it's gotten cooler so I don't need the AC for now. For those who may not be
familiar with this, like the overly complex CC & ACC in our older MBs which
haven't made life very pleasant for many of us, M-B changed to an overload
protection & Klima relay in '85, as I was originally hoping to find these
things in my '84 300D and switch back and forth to troubleshoot the problem,
but good ol' M-B . . .
