It that is the case, then I'd expect they could be swapped by changing the valve body. (not that I know much about AT) I'd rather have a 5 spd.

I think it's a matter of the E transmissions doing a second gear start and
the D transmissions not, but there is probably something else to it as well.

I'd expect wagon and sedan to be the same.
