huh? Thats a new one one me. The only rubber part I know about is either the flex disks or the center support. Both are quire replaceable and available seperate.

So my Indy tells me (this is a heck of a Christmas present) that theres a
rubber balancing deal on the driveshaft which is bad on my car. He says that he
can't buy the part separately and an entire driveshaft is over $1k.
 So the question is can I use a driveshaft off a 190E for my '85 190D 2.2l?

Take it from me Kaleb, 201 5 speeds have a unique balancing disc right behind the front flex disc. It balances the driveshaft. It is NOT sold separately. If the disc fails, Mercedes requires that you buy a NEW front half of the driveshaft and balance disc or a complete new driveshaft with disc. You CAN buy just the disc for manual or automatic 124 driveshaft, or for a 201 automatic driveshaft, but NOT for a 201 5 speed (not sure about a manual 4 speed)!

THEY ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE.
