Have you read "Freakonomics"? You really should. He points out (maybe it wasn't in the book, maybe it was the radio show) that statistically speaking swimming pools are WAAAAAAAAY more likely to kill a kid than a pile of guns yet we don't see a big rush to ban swimming pools.
I consider a backyard trampoline to be a virtual death device. Insurance companies seem to agree with me. When we bought our house our insurance agent didn't really care about the woodstove, he wanted to know if we had, or intended to get a trampoline. I asked why and he said if we intended to have one he'd want it noted in the policy that they would cover NOTHING to do with it. -Curt Date: Thu, 16 May 2013 15:06:22 -0500 From: Randy Bennell <rbenn...@bennell.ca> To: Mercedes Discussion List <mercedes@okiebenz.com> Subject: Re: [MBZ] OT: Gun Laws vs Enforcement Message-ID: <51953c3e.70...@bennell.ca> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed How about the 5 year old with the gun who shot and killed his 2 year old sister in Kentucky (if I recall). I would suggest it is a crime that the local authorities did not want to charge the parents. What is wrong with people who provide a lethal weapon to a 5 year old?
