OK, so, as head of the maintenance dept., do *you* like it ['06 X5]?
Any problems worth mentioning, unexpected repairs, difficulty getting
parts, etc.?
The [seat heaters] in the 560SEL she
spurned kick the crap out of 'em.
The SEL was merely 2x what she spent on the seat heaters alone.
Ugh. She also added a receiver hitch (no electrics), for a bike
rack, and she added a ski/kayak carrier to the roof rails. I
think her intent is to divorce herself from anything automotive
I have ever had anything to do with. Our pickup truck is most
excellent at handling bicycles, skis, and kayaks, but it's a
diesel and a stickshift and so is 'crap'.
The rear-seat reading lamps in the SEL are also vastly superior,
a lot less glare to the driver than the X5's.
