I give him credit for honesty since he doesn't try to hide the problem. OTOH, he is silent on what it will take to get at the cylinder. I guess he doesn't claim it will be cheap, just easy:
"The car is in my garage right now with the valve cover off and will have to be picked up from there, the car cannot be driven from there unless it is reassembled and/or repaired at buyers expense from a mechanic... It was taken in for a rough idle on a warm engine. It has been diagnosed as a cylinder that has low compression...it is very fixable. Until you take apart the cylinder, then you just can't accurately and completely diagnose the source of the problem. Some diagnosis we've done may indicate a bad cylinder wall, but we cannot be sure. Once you do take apart the cylinder, then you've done 1/2 of the work, the rest is just parts, which are cheap. If you yourself are a mechanic, or know of someone else that is one, it can be a very easy one to fix...The bottom line is the cylinder is damaged and needs to be fixed. How you decide to do that is up to you and your mechanic. There are quite a few options on how you decide to fix the cylinder. It is also in desperate need of some TLC as it has been sitting idle for ~ 9 months now...It needs to be reassembled and cleaned up, interior, exterior, and otherwise..."
