way back in the day when we first met there was a lot of talk of the W201 being the worst car in MB history and the W124 being perhaps the best, i argued that the cars were essentially so similar that i might be more a matter of the care they received, which was less for the 201 than the 124 as it was further down the food chain. i believe this still to be true
