Kaleb,
            Could you run a carfax on my 1983 240D..........My passenger side 
rear quarter panel is "alligatored" [ paint finish ] & I noticed the rear 
bumper "oozed"  some red primer; so I think this car may have hit on the rear 
side/back in the past
