If you don't drink the stuff, owning a tavern can be a very lucrative
operation -- lots of customers no matter what the economy is like and
very high profit margins.
Bad management is about the only way to lose money at one, other than
being so weird you drive your customers off. Nose candy has a
detrimental effect as well, probably more than heavy drinking.
