I think the problem with the Jetta is just that theres so much torque on tap. The tires on it are decent although lower end all seasons. I drove the car yesterday and it was okay on the snowy side streets but not terrific. The 190D has snows on the rear (which I should fix this week) and handles much better although it needs some weight too. -Curt Date: Tue, 17 Dec 2013 21:28:01 -0500 From: Dwight Giles <dwight.gi...@gmail.com> To: Mercedes Discussion List <mercedes@okiebenz.com> Subject: Re: [MBZ] Tire blowouts Message-ID: <cah-alp_zvmbsc8v6ngthj1x_qguqd3tglsr30d3itpz8byc...@mail.gmail.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Well I don't know about the Jetta but I do think Mercedes weight & its distribution make a difference. My 3 123's & 124 have all done well in snow regardless of tires.
