I'm not familiar with this model, but in other MBs I have either removed or 
replaced the headlight switch in it hasn't been a difficult job.

You probably have to remove the bolster under the dash to get to it, pull the 
knob off, remove the nut on the shaft that holds it in place, and disconnect 
the harness.

Be sure to disconnect the battery for this. There is B+ present at the switch 
100% of the time.
