I dropped a 603 sump on a jack - got to R&R the oil pan. Spent some quality
time under that car . . .
No problem with the sensor, just cataloging every thing I saw, checking all
the wires after I finished, etc. Yes, accessible from underneath.
Now that you mention it, the OM60x engines are among the few that I never
had to R&R. They just kept on running.


Oh, yeah, I remember that fiasco now.

Most work I have done on one is the head on one SDL. They are very long lived and reliable.

I love the engine in this 300D. It is the least worked on of any I have had. Most neglected engine. I can tell because it still has all the factory bolts and attachments for the wiring harness and other stuff.
