When I put everything back together I found everything worked as it
should except for the automatic antenna. As you know, when the ignition
is turned on the antenna should rise. But after I reinstalled the head
unit, the radio and changer controls worked but the antenna mast did not
rise.
All the connections are made to the back of the radio. There are 3
multi-pin plugs along with a ground spade and another spade with a single
wire going to it. None of the wires are loose from the connectors and none
appear damaged.
In the past I recall the antenna on other radios being controlled by a
yellow or blue wire, but there are no single wires that look likely.
any ideas? Worst case I could install a manual antenna I guess...
