Friends had an '02 E430 4Matic.
Beautiful car - silver with a dark blue interior.
They bought it used for more than $50K and I think, only got something
like $15K out of it when they sold it a few years later.
Not sure of exact dates but know it was not new when they got it and
they have been out of it for a while.

That's a bit cheap for a 97 with those kinds of miles. I would expect
issues or cosmetic problems at that price.
The W140 chassis is far better from 1997-on, so as far as the year is
concerned it's a good one.
I am currently looking for a 300SEL or S320 in a W140 chassis. If anyone
hears of a deal like this for one I would appreciate letting me know.
