retailing between $4000 and $9500 depending on condition, and in a case
of accident damage they owe you the RETAIL (replacement) cost, not the
WHOLESALE (trade-in) value of the car, since their insured damaged YOUR
car through no fault of your own.
Don't forget tax/title/registration (or transfer of your existing registration).
If they give you what a dealer would charge out the door for the car, less your
deductible, then you should take their first offer. It just doesn't happen as
often as it should.
