When I went to the Deutz engine school a long time ago, I was intrigued by
the full name of the engines we were dealing with F912 and F913 series
mainly. The F stands for Fahrtzoid. I can think of lots of applications
of that name!
(think I'd better ausfahrt before someone throws something at me!)
