Road & Track (IIRC) did a comparison between a Porsche 356 and a new (at
the time) Karmen Ghia and found them to be almost identical. I don't
remember the year, but it was probably in the early '70's.
Dunno if there still is, but there used to be a cottage industry of
putting Porsche 4 and 6 cylinder engines into Karmann Ghias...
